What is a Hospice?

Today, ‘hospice’ is no longer a place but rather an ideal and philosophy of care for the patient with a life limiting illness and their loved ones facing a difficult journey. The purpose remains the same—for them to find rest, to be cared for and to gather courage to face the remaining days of their journey together. Read more...

Message from Elize Willis, General Manager

Firstly, I would like to thank our Heavenly Father for making all things possible! It is with great pleasure to introduce our website to the Bethlehem community and our partners and supporters. I would like to thank the staff who put the effort into making this website a success. Our website is just one reflection of the enormous growth we've experienced the past few years.

Hospice Prayer

God our Father, Your Son showed compassion and mercy to the sick and suffering. Give us the grace to show love and compassion to the terminally ill. Grant that through the power of the Holy Spirit Hospice may continue in this area for the comfort and relief of the dying and bereaved. Bless and guide those involved in the planning of Hospice. Inspire many to offer support through prayer and giving. We ask this in the name of God Almighty.

We receive many book and as the name of the book shop is "Die Weduwee se Kruik" which when tranlated  comes from Kings in the Bible talking about the woman that had so much oil it just kept on flowing.
